RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS AT PREMIER
Premier Gymnastics are currently ranked the Number 1 club in Australia for Rhythmic Gymnastics. Our knowledgeable and qualified staff guide our gymnasts through a progressive pathway whether it be at a recreational level or through the High Performance Program. Our Rhythmic athletes have the opportunity to compete at a Local, Regional, State and National Level.
Our recreational athletes are working in a fun filled environment focusing on rhythmic gymnastics fundamentals, body awareness, basic core strength and flexibility and advancing fine and gross motor skills. Our recreational gymnasts will learn to manipulate rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon while combining elements of ballet, gymnastics and dance. These classes are taught by our very experienced coaches.
This program is for athletes working through the competitive Australian Levels, from Level 3- 9 Open. These athletes will also focus on rhythmic gymnastics fundamentals, body awareness, basic core strength and increased flexibility. The athletes are working towards various State competitions throughout the year as well as National Club Championships held in September each year.
Our team members are encouraged to work in the group competition. Group competition is RG teams events. We have highly experienced coaches in group for State National and International level competition. Group build confidence, technique and team work. Most of these athletes also work in multiples, which is pairs, trios, and groups of four athletes.
The stages program is for young athletes developing at an extended level who are looking to pursue the High Performance pathway for rhythmic gymnastics. The program consists of two stages: – Stage 1 for 6 – 7 year olds – Stage 2 for 8 – 9 year olds. The stages program is designed to ensure a healthy and progressive pathway that develops core skills with key techniques fundamental to successful performance.
Premier offers athletes who are wishing to compete at the highest level of the sport an extensive program for both Individual and Group athletes. The program includes Ballet, Conditioning, Choreography, technique with five plus hours per day as required for an international athlete. We focus on Level 9-10 High Performance, Sub Junior, Pre Junior, Junior and Senior International Individuals and Senior Group. Premier’s coaches have a history for working athletes to World, Commonwealth and Olympic Level.
